Availability of food along the Camino

And, of course, there's always the chance that, when you do stop to buy, the
shop has shut for a LONG break - sometimes from 1pm until 4pm!

Also, some "key stops" like San Juan de Ortega have no shops at all so you need
to be prepared for all eventualities. For the most part the small
village "general store" will be able to satisfy most your needs and in a very
friend way too: half a loaf (medio pan) instead of a whole one; just one
youghourt instead of a pack of four.
