What is a "true pilgrimage"?... a very good question!

Read "Pilgrim Sories" by Nancy Frey, U. of Calif. Press.  I would strongly
advise against going in Jan. because of weather conditions altho perhaps the
Galicia region should not be too bad for a 1 week trip.  The more time you give
