Reductions in cost of travel to Santiago

There are not many hotels that I would like to go back to, but the Palacio del
Carmen is one, and 89e is a bargain I think. The king stays at the Hospital
de los Reyes Catolicos, and I did too, but the room I got next to a noisy street
was not as good as the room I got at the Palacio del Carmen. The palacio
even has ADSL for $10 a day. Both had
very good breakfasts included in the conference rate that I received. And
both were quite a contrast to the albergues at Monte de Goza and Portomarin.
I enjoyed pulpo several times in Galicia, but I wouldn't look forward to it
for brunch!

My pilgrimage was three months long and it has been over three months since
I got back, and it's taken on an unreal quality in memory (was I really
speaking French and Spanish?), but reviewing some photos again brought the
memories back rather intensely for me.
