Walking in November

Rod and Katie,

I walked on my own in November/December 2001 from SJPP so I will tell
you about my experience.

Most of the refugios are open or you can find out which ones are open
from the people in the bars/restaurants or at the refugios. Since it is
not that busy you will have your choice of bunk beds wherever you go.
Often the temperature dropped to minus 2 or 3 celsius at night causing a
problem for me drying clothes since the heat usually went off at 10:00PM
to save energy. Outside of the fact the monasteries such as the one in
Samos were damp and cold, I recall being comfortable most of the time.
Of course by that time I had walked for 24 days and was just a humble
pilgrim grateful for being on the Camino.

I loved Cebriero and the entire Galician section.

blessings,
Sue
