Hi. Once again it's time for me to put together the fall/winter "Friends of
the Road to Santiago" association's Newsletter.

I'd invite submissions of brief articles (250 - 1000 words ) on any topic of
interest to the pilgrim-world as a whole, but especially those that are based
around a diary entry, for they can open the world of the real experience to
readers. Also, articles on the Portuguese and Via de la Plata and, especially,
the "northern" routes are much needed. When Asst editor Christopher Hewitt
walked and cleared the Via de la Plata some years ago, he gave wonderful
descriptions and directions, but time has passed, and so have many other
boots, so the Route has developed and "Friends" would like to bring members up
to date on the fascinating southern road.

Not everyone on this list serve is a member of "Friends," but more
importantly, not everyone in the "Friends" association is on this listserve.
Good articles, even pieces of fiction - such as Sue Kenney so nicely shared
with us in the Spring --, help us all stay involved in the camino-world.

I also strongly urge you to send in brief summaries/reviews of new music
recordings, videos, or books on the Camino, or on pilgrimage in general.

I tentatively plan to mail out this newsletter in December.
There will be information on the next "Gathering" to take place early in 2004.

Please send me your material in microsoft word either on a pc disk to my home
address, or an attachement to my _other_ email address -- not this one.

Thanks !
