Xosè.....thanks.....I dont know why, but your comments triggered two thoughts/quotes. I don't remember the author/s and I don't remember the exact wording. Bur, paraphrasing..

....acceptance and reward are for those who listen, learn, and love
....be unafraid of the new. your life is a collection of moments, each one leading you to the next beautiful discovery

pray for peace,
tom

Subject: Anti-American Sentiment on the Camino-Tangent

  Friends,

I believe that the topic at hand is very much connected to the purpose of this forum and needs to be discussed as often as necessary. We need to care, and be seriously concerned, about anything that may affect anyone of us, whoever and wherever we come from, as we walk "el" and "los" camino(s). To dismiss this subject for whatever reason(s) is like wanting to block the sun with 1 finger-get real. We need to feel free and talk about whatever is bothering us related to el C.

Don't forget, there's always DELETE &/or ignoring reality.

There are terrible wars going on in different parts of the world, not just one. Hundreds of people are suffering excruciatingly and dying, because of wars. Let's be proactive and do whatever it is we can to stop them, including violence in the areas where we may live, or everyday, destructive polemics among us, they are also "wars."

I believe that we, US folks, should not go to Spain in hiding, with fear, or apologetic of who we are, where we come from, feeling that we have to, or not, defend this administration or this war. For if this is the spirit in which anyone intends to do this Camino, think about it twice, this may not be your time for it.

All sorts of constructive thoughts are being shared in this forum regarding which may hopefully help us as we gain new, different, or greater, insight, as to who we are and what the world "over yonder" may be about, such as we have never had to before. That's great,it's growth, and it's happening right in our PCs as we read off these words. Imagine what God has in store for us as we do the Camino, whether we know why we are doing it, or not, but know that we have to do it, NOW!

I believe in the power of prayer, let's start plugging into it, it's free, accessible and leads to the highest source.

El Señor Santiago is there for us-come on, let's get going, what r we waiting for?

  Abrazos d Xosé Manuel

PS: Congrats to the friend who said: "use your common sense."
