Movie actors and the Camino

 Hello you all,
      The Galician press reports that the movie actor Martin Sheen (born
Ramon Esteves)  attended the Pilgrims' Mass yesterday after walking part of the
Camino.  The newspapers add that the actor speaks Spanish perfectly, with a
Mexican accent,  that he has bought a house in the outskirts of Santiago, and
that his three sons, Charlie Sheen and Emilio and Ramon Esteves, are frequent
Santiago visitors .
       Also, the filming of the full length movie "Dentro y Fuera del Camino"
(Within and Without The Camino), proceeds apace.  Portions of the movie are
presently being filmed at the San Marcos hostal in Leon. The movie is a
British-Spanish undertaking directed by Laurence Bolting with the participation of
Sir Richard Attnborough (who produced and directed"Ghandi").
       The film recreates the pilgrimage of a Dutch social worker, Rob
Jorritsma, a Japonese poet, Madoka Mayuzumi, and a Brazilian yoga teacher Milena
Salgado.
       The movie's director walked the French Way four years ago, met several
pilgrims and conceived the idea to make a movie about the Camino because, he
says, the Camino "is an experience that transforms profoundly the inner lives
of many people"
       The movie is expected to be ready for distribution next year, which is
a Xacobean Holy Year.
