Could I make a suggestion:

Most listerver software has options to append a standard message at the close
of and incoming message.  This feature is often used to attach standardized
disclaimers.  It can also be used to put a standard message explaining how to
unsubscribe from the list.

I'd suggest that this could be extremely helpful in decreasing the number of
inane "Please unsubscribe me" messages.
