Of course you can visit Christ and worship God in any Catholic church or
cathedral along the Camino dressed in pilgrim gear (including the Mass in
Santiago). So, shorts are OK and you don't need a head covering. It's
what's inside your head and heart and soul that matter.

One thing though, I do detest the fashion that churches are now looked upon
as museums - it's happening worldwide. I hated the coach loads of tourists
who turned up to gawp and never gave a care for what is in the Tabernacle or
who thought that the Mass was some huge social event that had to be done
after walking the Camino. Personally, I can't imagine travelling to Mecca
and then expecting entry to any Islamic church.

Peace and love,
Ed

Can someone give me a handle on dress code for the cathedrals and other
sacred buildings. Are shorts acceptable, does one need a head covering?
Thanks,
