October Accomodations

GOCAMINO Digest - 6 Jul 2003 to 7 Jul 2003 (#2003-175)Having walked twice in late September and October, I would consider it an excellent time to make the trek. The weather is mild and the crowds have gone home. Almost all of the albergues remain open until mid October, though some close during the month or at its end. 
For information on schedules you might want to try Consumer.es although the site may not specify operating dates:

Consumer.es.  An extended list of albergues (refugios) with detailed information and consumer generated ratings for each of them is an important part of the more general website on the Camino published by a Spanish consumer organization. A strongly recommended site for those able to read Castellano. (30-1-03)
