The meseta

Marty,
I found that it did, indeed, rain on the plain in Spain. There was also,
in September, plenty of hot, sunny days along the meseta. The best tool I
had was an umbrella. It allowed me to continue to hike in my nylon shorts
and polypropelene shirt, not getting sweaty inside rain gear; easy opening
and closing, no fighting my way out of wet rain pants, etc. The meseta is a
wonderfully huge and sometimes lonely place with skies that go on forever
and clouds that speak volumes in their shapes; it was one of the best parts
of the Camino. Enjoy!
      Daniel
