small dress points and biggish question

At REI there was a list of all of the bags that they carried with the
weights given. The lightest one is called a sleep sack and weighs 730
grams. At about $50 it was also one of the cheapest. I carried one in
September and October this year and found it to be warm enough for use
in the refugios. I also had a 190 gram silk inner bag (also about $50)
that I used inside the sack and also with the refugio blankets when they
were supplied. These would not have been enough for sleeping outside,
especially in the rain, but I was fortunate enough to avoid that
experience.
