Maura,
The advice so far has had a theme: light is good. I took three pair of
socks, two of underwear, one of long pants and shorts, BOOTS the most
important item, a polypro t-shirt and long sleeve shirt, a rain/wind jacket,
hat and gloves. Used the gloves in October. And an umbrella which was
invaluable. Walking in the rain it kept me dry but not sweaty. The
rainjacket and shorts were fine for when the winds were too strong for the
brolly..... who cares about wet legs?
If you're not sure if you need it, don't take it. You'll live without it
and if it becomes a necessity you can get it there. Nylon shorts and long
pants, not cotton.
    Buen Camino! Daniel
