What is a Reasonable Budget for the Camino?

Hi Phil. I thougt you were leaving soon? Let's see, 4 E for an albergue
on average (generous actually)(if you go that way, or maybe 15E for a
private room in a cheap hostal), 7E for a HUGE meal - do you want one or
two? About 1E for a coffee, beer or glass of wine, or a chupito of
agardiente if that is your style. Another 2-4 E for breakfast and grox
shop snacks. Phone calls? Not too bad. Internet cafe? 1-2E per 15-30
mins. An ocvcasional museum, castle or church entry fee - say a total of
20E over the whole camino if you go into everywhere. Postcards 20-50
cents, tshirts 3-5E. You shouldn't carry much more, but can if you
choose. Prices as of this month. Cooking in is cheaper. Carrying coffee
supplies helps too. In summer some albergues close their kitchens down
though...?
You can spend as much or as little as you choose. Could be done, tight,
on 10E, 20-25 was a total nobrainer for me including two nights in
hostales when I was TOO cold and wet.
blessings!
Liza
