Marcelino: Pan y Vino (Movie)

Last spring some folks passed on information about a movie including a cross found on the camino.  I am requesting Duke University order  Marcelino: Pan y Vino for their video library.  Does anyone have a suggestion as to which version (1954 or '01) is better?
