camera power cells, aka "batteries"

My power cell charger weighed only 170 gm and it did not need to be
plugged in. I just hung it on my shoulder as I walked - on a sunny day.
It held four NiMH AA cells and a day's walk seemed to be enough to
charge them up enough. Actually, by using the camera conservatively, I
had to charge only one set. I did not take many pictures, however - just
about 5 rolls worth. By conservative use, I mean limiting the use of
power-hungry functions, like zooming and use of the monitor. If it had
been cloudy too much of the time, I had the option of buying ordinary
alkaline AA cells.
