Sandals???

I'm just returned from my third Camino.... Well, in  body anyway....., my
heart and much of me will linger there for quite a while.
Since I bicycled,  footwear did not concern me; I wore sneakers all the way.
But, because the subject was ubiquitous throughout, I had to notice that a
pilgrim's physical  size makes a lot of difference.  Those many female pilgrims
I met that would be considered thin, our size 8 or below,  walked away miles
and miles wearing tennis shoes and the like without blisters,  or any like foot
 problems.  Bigger-sized pilgrims seemed to be more durable in boots  or
shoes that offered ankle-support and the like. I suppose that, gravity-wise,  it
makes a lot of sense.
I myself am a heftyish size 10, but, as mentioned, I did not walk, I rode a
bicycle.
Stealthily, the desire to really  walk the Camino, sole on soil, has come
over me. When I really prepare to do it  I'll work out to come down  a size or
two.
