Hi,

You know what they say: it isn't the dog, it's the owner . . . .

I quite like dogs and especially Spaniels otherwise I wouldn't have been so
soft with these pilgrims - besides they'd been turned away by the municipal
and private refugios. They were a middle aged Spanish couple and would be
sleeping in the barn (if you know Rabanal you'll know what I mean) so I
checked with the other pilgrims in there and nobody had any objections.

The couple obviously didn't want to be disturbed so tied the dog up in the
huerta out back where it howled all night long and every dog in the village
responded! By 2 o'clock I'd had enough - I was due to get up and make
breakfast at 5.30 anyway. I untied the dog which shot into the barn and
never made another sound!

Now the time we had the pilgrim with the Hinney . . .

Subject: RE: Bringing Trigo

Hi Jeffrey and all,
Trigo was and is exceptional.
Outside Cacabelos Refugio on the street behind was a farm and whole night
that dog was barking!
When I loosened Trigo up in the morning he rushed away took the corner got
caught by a lamppost as he leash got around it and madder a beautiful
unintended leap, got even madder and rushed to the farm and "exchanged some
words" with that also for him annoying dog.
Later he came back very satisfied and was treated to cookies form all the
also annoyed pilgrims!

I do not think it's wise to bring a baby, apart from the nuisance to
pilgrims
Do you think a bay would like the roman Way, the road to Calzadilla, the
heat, and the constant moving without rest? !

Be wise and leave you baby's even kids at home

Trigo's advice
