plane tickets $ 450 fees included from NJ and NY

Hi friends, working like crazy these days to round off time/$ for my camino 
this summer. There's a possibility of a R/T plane ticket, direct, 
MIA/MAD/MIA, late June - late August, AA, for $922. Last year I paid some 
$200 + for a similar trip. Peak season. 

Has anyone come up to a similar/better deal for these dates/geographic area?
