Heather:

Here are a few references, some more obvious than others. Matt.10:2; Mk.3:17; Lk.6:14; Acts1:13; Mk.1:19; Matt.4:21; Mk.5:37;8:51; Matt.17:1; Mk.9:2; Matt.26:37; Mk.14:33; Lk.9:54. James was beheaded by order of Herod Agrippa (42 A.D.) as noted in Acts12:2.

Does anyone know of any biblical references to James, not the brother of Jesus. Our James, I guess I could say. Always when I begin to tell people about the legend they think of James the brother of Jesus. I would like to educate myself on where he is in the bible. Thanks so much.
