evening clothing

I'm new to this list-serve -preparing to take to the camino in July, and
I'm wondering about clothing for evenings.  I've got great gear to walk
in during the day, but what  have you found most useful for the evening?
More formal slacks (I've got a great  light microfiber pair) so one can
go out to the occasional restaurant? Really casual lounge-around pants?
Both? Neither?
