ice and snow/hot weather

My name is Sheila. I live in a small city in northern ontario, Canada.
Leaving April 21 for Paris and on to the Camino on the 24th. New at
computors and new at long walks. Have been training for six months.
Walking with parka, hat mitts and winter boots and packsack. Today -20
lots of new snow. Will I have much trouble adjusting to the heat and the
sun. Any suggestions. I plan to start at SJPP . thanks  Sheila
