I am fascinated by the mythic references of course, and always curious what
hard-core, documentable proof there is that a pilgrimage road--NOT just a
collection of sacred sites strung across northern Spain, NOT just a Roman
road going the same direction--actually went where the Camino now goes. I've
heard lots of stories, and repeated them, about Celts going to Finisterre
from the sacred groves near Paris, about Atlantans (!!) returning from the
Basque country to stare out over the sea at Finisterre where their island
sank, etc. What what actual proof is there?

Eager to hear!

Best,
Elyn
