I'm off!

Just a word of caution regarding mountain climbing experience.
Experienced American backpackers, used to wilderness travel in the U.S.,
tend to carry much more than necessary. You don't need to carry two
weeks supply of food, climbing ropes, ice axes, crampons, tents, or
stoves. It is not a wilderness experience, although there are short
sections of open wild country. There are villages all along the way and
big cities every few days. A one day supply of emergency food is
recommended, since some villages do not have a store, or even a bar and
sometimes those that do exist are closed for some reason or other like a
special holiday.

regards,

Robert
