a few basic questions

I leave for Spain on July 6 and plan to walk from Leon.  I return from Madrid on July 28.

I have a few very basic questions.  I'm sure more will questions will come later.

What weather can I expect?

How much do I have to worry about theft?  I'd like to stay in refugios whenever possible and I will keep my most valuables on my person but do I have to worry about my pack and someone going through it?

I'll be in Santiago on the Saint's day which I find exciting but feel there will also be a certain amount of crazyness.  Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated.
