Fiction vs. nonfiction?

I think this was said before (I read my messages very
fast at the cybercafe), but in the end to me it really
doesn't matter how one is inspired to become a
pilgrim. That's part of the individuality of it. I
myself was inspired many years ago in my youth by
studying (briefly at that time) its history and also
by my feelings about Spain. But, had I first heard of
it in a fictional work, I honestly don't think it
would have made a whit of difference; I would still
have gone.

And that is all that matters in the end.
