Rain gear

    Some of the Travel gear magazines advertise a form of impermeable
stockings which go over the pants and boots as high as possible and pend from
the waist; they also go over the shoes, like old-fashioned spats.
    Last year I burned many a hotel hairdryer trying to dry my shoes, etc.,
so I definitely plan to get these advertised items to avoid the discomfort.
    I just absolutely loved walking in the rain, and did so for three days.
But my biggest problem, far more than wet shoes and clothes, was keeping the
water from my essentially needed eyeglasses.  Any ideas on how to keep
eyeglasses dry in the rain?
