Ellen - wow! Your father was imprisoned in Gurs?! What a horrific
experience that must have been. I had an uncle who survived Dachau. His
experience always cast a cloud over the family. Your father's experience
must have had an equally hard impact on your family. But the reason I'm
responding is because there is a rail line through Somport. I know I've
seen information about it on the internet. I can do a little searching for
you if no one else has the info directly at hand. Go for it!
