I read it after I walked.
It seems to me that her and Coelho's books are responses to their
experiences. If read before the pilgrimage, they may lack meaning entirely.
But read after, we can see the struggle the authors had to express their
deepest feelings. How did the gospel writers express the events of the
Transfiguration and Pentecost? They were forced to simile and metaphor.
