Easter time crowded?

well I have not gone yet, but remember "April showers bring May
flowers"...rain is tolerable but would you really want the whole trip to be
rainy?  I plan to go in May//early June to avoid crowds and scorching
heat...but then again it COULD rain the whole time!!!
