Tom, please assure your wife that, provided you start in a popular starting
point like S Jean Pied de Port or Roncesvalles at a reasonable time of the
year (spring to Autumn), can see well enough to follow the yellow arrows,
are sensible in pacing yourself, are physically prepared, properly and
lightly equipped, promise to eat well, shower frequently, and sleep in
refugios you will have companionship and be very safe.
