Hello you all,
A young Brazilian computer maven installed my scanner and posted my pictures
(in less than 10 minutes!) of the Camino Crucifix that has one arm extended
downward. This Crucifix, first mentioned in this list by Michael, is
reported to have been the inspiration for the prize winning movie "Marcelino
pan y vino". If any one of you wants me to e-mail you the pictures please
send me a message directly.
There is an updated website devoted entirely to the Templars. The address is:
                    http://www.terra.es/personal5/arollon38/Temple/prologo.htm
A new book about the Templars has just become available: "Los Templarios" by
M.G.Sales, ISBN 84-932402-2-2. In my opinion it is a very recommendable
book because it contains a concise and incisive history of the knights, and
the circumstances surrounding their formation and demise, in a mere 180
pages. The book. so far, is available only in Spanish.
A 2-hour documentary in video, "The Knights Templar", is available in
English. It was produced by American Home Treasures and its ISBN is
0-7792-0244-9.
Finally, for those of you who are really interested in the Templars, there
is a fascinating book about their end. It is called "The End of the
Templars; an extermination under cover of law". The book is a fascinating
retelling of the pseudo-legal maneuvers gerrymandered to bring about the
total destruction of the Knights. While fairly short (180 pages) the book is
a treasure trove of historical and artistic citations. It took its author,
Andreas Beck, 20 years to write it. Originally written in German, the book
is available in Spanish, French, Portuguese and Italian. The ISBN is
9-788429-741346.
Warm regards,
Rosina
