intro as a new member to listserve

Hi:  I am an 57-year old Australian woman living in southern California.  I
am planning to walk the Camino alone beginning on or around the 1st June of
this year.  I have many questions to ask but fear that these mundane queries
have been answered over and over again.  However, today I tried to access
listserve's archives, but to no avail.  Is there a secret to it that I am
unaware of.

Perhaps someone would be good enough to answer a couple of really pressing
questions that I have.  What is the best way to get from Madrid to Pamplona,
and then eventually SJPP - and can it be done it one day.   Another is, where
can I find Bravo Lozano's guide.  Yesterday I called the NYC Tourist office
only to be told that they didn't have it?   Does anyone know of a fairly nice
but reasonable place to stay in Madrid close to the train station or bus
station for the journey to Pamplona.   One more then I'll stop.  How do you
obtain the shell insignia that identifies you as a pellegrino (I have the
passport).
