I don't know if this will help but ...... Start in SJPP and take the road
route which has accommodation.  Get used to walking, etc., etc., and you can
break the first day up into two see how you feel and all that and then easily
travel back from Roncesvalles to SJPP and then take the Route Napoleon I
walked with someone who did this.  Well, actually took the road route and
then realized they missed the Route Napoleon so went back to do it but it
could work this way too.
