Demise of another pilgrim

The Navarra Daily (Diario de Navarra) of April 6, 2002. reports  sad news:
Etienne Yves Marie F., a 79 years old French pilgrim from Antibes,
disappeared  last Wednesday between Ortzanzurieta and Orbaiceta on the way to
Roncesvalles.
A pilgrim from Ireland later notified the authorities in Burguette that he
had come across the body of the missing pilgrim.
A rescue team searched the snow-covered reported site until the body was
found, lying under the snow, in an unused stretch of an old paved road
leading to Ortzanzurieta. The pilgrim's backpack, containing money, credit
cards, clothes, personal documents, crackers and vitaminized water was found
besides the body.
It appears that the deceased pilgrim was walking alone.
Once again, sadly, our prayers are in order.
