  We stayed at La Perla this past July and, as I recall, had no problem with
English/Spanish checking in
  We were also in the middle of a riot that evening as they had cut a lot of
trees down in the square and the younger people were protesting this
there were police with guns and lots of violent action.
I, being a photographer, sort of enjoyed shotting this event which lasted
several hours.
  The hotel room was very thirties- overlooked the square (we were on the
first floor) very white and wood.
I am sure you will enjoy.
