If you are a professional, you take what it needs!
Do not pretend to be pilgrim and be so kind to propose use of a list server,
which cannot take messages.
If this IS a national tragedy, you should, ought and must respond in another
and more professional way than blame it on too much traffic.
Take it up with the university. Put an extra server in out of the funds
coming in on her subscription list, but do it well!
The server even do not take att (which is up to mrs. Davidson to decide),
but fortunately there are other ways and means to do the job.
And if the server breaks down, sorry. You did your job NOT well !
She is to blame, not you Leonie, me or the other 200 messages of today!
Her reaction is very child-like and unprofessional, taking into account she
is working at the university!
