    Edward Stanton's Road of Stars to Santiago is also worth the read, I think, and so is Lee Hoinacki's book from Penn State Press (the title escapes me right now), though both focus most on the writers' individual spiritual growth processes.


  Christopher and all:

  The name of Hoinacki's book is "El Camino: Walking to Santiago de Compostela" and it is part of Penn State's series dealing with lived religious experiences. I agree it is worth reading.
