San Rocco Pilgrim

Hello you all,
I will be going to Venice in Thanksgiving and, of course, will go to a concert or two at the Scuola de San Rocco.  Once there I am sure I will not think of asking about San Rocco's pilgrimages.  - Who can think in Venice? - but I will wonder:
At the Venitian church where he is thought to be buried, and everywhere else for this matter, the image of San Rocco shows him clod in pilgrim's clothes  with  Santiago shells.  Does anyone in this list know whether, and when, he actually made the pilgrimage to Santiago?
