Templars

Preston, Gene, dear e-mail friends,
My cup(s) runneth over.
I have a soft spot in my professional heart for the Templars because one of
the last of them, who forestalled their ultimate destruction for quite a
while, (on the face of an obsessively determined monarch bent on their
destruction), was such a very eloquent and touching advocate. Alas! no one
could ever argue with a closed mind...... all the way back to Jesus' trial
and who knows how many other earlier trials.
A couple of years ago Paul William Roberts, a Canadian author, wrote a very
interesting book called "In Search of the Birth of Jesus; the Real Journey of
the Magi", about his attempt to discover and follow the true route of the
Wisemen. In the book he informs that the best preserved
Templars-Hospitallers castle in our days is "Crac des Chevaliers", somewhere
between present-day Palmyra and Damascus; he writes that it is a wonder to
behold.
The book is about his one-man pilgrimage and would, indeed, delight the
history and adventure lovers among you.
Thanks for the wonderful information.... Your messages have been printed up
to be read and reread.
Love ya!
Rosina
