Me too, about the Eccos. However, I did have to add inner soles to keep the
rocks from poking my feet. When I mentioned this when buying the second
pair, the salesman said that the men's version have a thicker sole.

try out ECCO...they fit my feet which are like yours and they come out of
the box broken in.
I walked with Vasque the first time = blisters
The second time ECCO and no blisters.... I have to admit I was a lot smarter
in taking care
of my feet the second time. Jusyt in passing I find that my ECCOs are so
comfortable I wear them
at home whenever I have the occasion.
