Books, maps, fraternities?

Hi Beverly,
Last year I had taken to SJPP a high-tech walking stick made of all kinds of
alloys, foldable, snappy looking, etc.  At SJPP there was a street seller
offering knobby, wooden, walking sticks with a little leather strap and a
lumpy head for about $5.  One beckoned to me and it took me all the way, up
and down, through torrents, mud slides, rocky terrain, etc.  When I arrived
at Santiago five week later I left there my hat, my shoes, my backpack and
most of my clothes.  The only thing I brought with my was the walking stick
which hangs on the wall of my bedroom ready to be put to use again next month.
