Hi Edie and all
The Le Puy road is beautiful but more difficult than the Camino. The climbs
are very steep indeed, but the scenery is very nice.
The route the GR 65 is very well marked and is described into detail in
small booklets with detailed maps.
There are No Refugio's, but there is another system as you may have heard of
" les Gites de France" You live with a family in their spare quarters and
the provide you with food and drinks ( if you like). It's a very sound
system.
Only on the last part has alberques !
The weather is very hot in the start with frequent thunderstorms in
September, coming to the Ocean side it will be a bit cooler, but
thunderstorms and rain will prevail.
Pieter
