arriving in madrid

hello.  i will be starting the camino in sept. at SJPdP.  i will arrive in
Madrid at 7:00am.  i'm deciding whether to immediately travel up to SJPdp
and take a rest day there or should i do it in Madrid? any ideas or
thoughts?  thank you.
