My wife never had a problem with privacy in the shower. The big ones are
gender sorted and the little ones at this time of the year are not so
crowded to be a problem.
As for hats, it makes little difference. My Gortex hat got soaked quickly in
the rain but the water ran off the brim just like it was supposed to. My
wife's canvas hat did the same. Think light. Think inexpensive.
I know the feeling of not being able to wait. We could not leave before
Easter last year. It took forever to come and made it hard to concentrate
during Lent and Holy Week.
