New Subscriber with questions

One thing about socks: some of the newer kids, like coolmax socks, and even
smartwool socks, are constructed so that (they claim) you don't need liners,
acc. to the outdoors specialists I talked to. And having worn them on the
Camino with one-time blisters (and those brought on by tying my boots much
too loosely one morning), I think the advice I was given is correct. Comments?
