I am giving a talk on the history of Christian pilgrimages in late January.
It will focus on the Holy Land, but will touch upon Saint Francis (for
obvious reasons) and Santiago. I would appreciate citations to any
information dealing with numbers of pilgrims during the period 1099 to 1291.
