Gocamino list serve

I must put on my List Serve Owner Hat for a message:

I have just received a form notice from the computer center here at the
university to the effect that more than 50 messages for "gocamino" were
sent in less than a 24 hour period. "Gocamino"'s message threshhold is 50
messages per day.
I've done a little bit of tinkering with the process, but we must still
work within the university limits.If we don't maintain our listserve within
the stated limits, the computer is programmed to cease sending all
listserve messages, so I'm suggesting that we do 3 things to help us all out:

1/ make sure that private messages go privately to the individuals
(I'm just like the rest of you, hitting the reply key is so easy and almost
automatic.- I notice a couple of my private emails got on Gocamino, too.
But I'm trying to be more alert about this. I hope you will, as well.

2/Please send the 1-sentence messages like "hang in there" or "have a good
trek" to the individual, not to the list serve.

3/ Especially to new list serve members, please do check our archives for
past disucussions. The major concerns of getting-ready-to-pack pilgrims
have continuously been: kinds of boots and back packs; how to deal with
money and finances abroad; telelphone cards. These and other issues have
been amply discussed and our archives have those for you, indexed by
"subject" line.

On another "limit,"
Will you delete the original messages from your replies so that we don't
also hit the line limits for our list serve.
