Design of pack

Had you considered getting a large fanny pack--I mean really large? Last year
when I didn't need to carry a full pack (I walked with van support) I still
needed to carry everything I might need for the day. And my chiropractor told
me not to use a backpack because of my shoulders and back. I found an
incredibly well designed fanny pack, with all sorts of adjustments.
Mountainsmith makes a pack (I think the larger one is called Daypack--I have
the smaller Tour pack) that holds a phenomenal amount and, because of all
sorts of microadjustments, fits very well. I used the tour pack last year,
and it easily carried raingear, sweater, lunch, first aid kit, and 2 bottles
of water. MAYBE the larger one would carry just enough for you to manage?
Just an idea.
