I am curious to know if your pack was originally 26 and then lightened to 22 lbs how much did the pack weigh empty? I am struggling to decide what to buy at this point - departing on July 20. Wondering of 20 lbs on my back plus 5 or more from the pack alone will be too much for me being 5'1" and in my 40's.. lisa
